Job Description

Femanalytica is on a mission to drive social impact through data and data science. We are seeking part-time volunteers for fully remote roles to contribute their expertise towards our goals. We welcome individuals who are committed to making a meaningful difference and are ready to join a collaborative and supportive team. Below are the available positions with their respective roles, responsibilities, and qualifications:

1. Parternships and Outreach Lead

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish partnerships with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders in the social sector.
  • Develop business partnerships to support the organization's goals and projects.
  • Mobilize resources through fundraising and other initiatives to ensure sustainability and growth of the organization.
  • Lead outreach initiatives to promote the organization’s mission and services.
  • Coordinate with the Education & Community Manager to ensure alignment of outreach and educational programs.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of partnerships, resource mobilization, and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Experience in partnership development, resource mobilization, and outreach in a non-profit setting is a plus.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

2. Data & Technology Lead

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the data and technology strategy of the organization ensuring alignment with its goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data-driven projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data science team.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data analyses and interpretations.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and methodologies in data science.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma or professional experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Certifications in the above mentioned fields considered if  first degree is in a different field. 
  • Experience in managing or leading data-driven projects.
  • Strong technical proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

3. Training & Community Engagement Lead

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee training programs and community engagements.
  • Foster relationships with local educational institutions, nonprofits, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and manage resources to support data science literacy and training.
  • Coordinate with the Workshop Facilitators to ensure successful delivery of training programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of educational and community initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Education, Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in program development and community engagement.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Data Scientists (3 Positions)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Data & Technology Lead to develop and implement data-driven projects that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and modeling to derive insights that can guide decision-making for stakeholders
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions accordingly.
  • Create clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate findings to a diverse audience.
  • Adhere to ethical data practices and ensure the privacy and security of sensitive information.
  • Participate in educational initiatives to promote data literacy.

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, Epidemiology or a related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, visualization tools and programming languages such as Python, R, Stata, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and other data analysis techniques.
  • A passion for social impact and a commitment to the mission of FemAnalytica.

5. Workshop Facilitators (3 Positions)

This position may occassionally require onsite presence for in-person trainings. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver workshops on data science topics, tailored to different skill levels.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and support to participants during workshops.
  • Collaborate with the Training & Community Engangement Lead  to align workshop content with broader educational goals.
  • Collect feedback from participants to continuously improve the workshop curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or professional experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or facilitation.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and good theoretical statistical knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
